Beginning January 1st of each year, all regular full-time employees acquire a maximum of two (2) paid "Floating Holidays” or 16 hours per year. Employees are permitted to take Floating Holidays in conjunction with vacation upon approval of the immediate Supervisor/ Manager, provided adequate notice is given. Management reserves the right to suspend Floating Holidays or deny Floating Holidays due to business necessity.

  • Exempt employees: May use floating holiday time off in four (4) hour increments.
  • Non-Exempt employees: May use floating holiday time off in (2) two hour increments.

For every new calendar year, the maximum allocation for Floating Holidays is set at 16 hours for full-time employees. Employees are highly encouraged to use their Floating Holidays before their accrued vacation time within that calendar year. Annually, employees must use their Floating Holidays by the last pay period of the year. Floating Holidays do not accrue and cannot be redeemed, but unused Floating Holiday hours are paid upon separation of employment.
