Changing a system generated punch applies only to non-exempt employees.
Sample Scenario
Susie clocked out for the day (5:07 PM), but as she was leaving, her co-worker John asked that she take one last look at the report he was submitting. Susie stayed an extra 15 minutes. Susie will need to log into her Paycom self-service to request that her manager adjust her time sheet to reflect the actual time she clocked out.
Employee Instructions
The employee must initiate punch change requests via the Paycom system (only the ten (10) most recent punches are available).
1. The employee will log into their Paycom self-service.
2. On the right-hand of the home screen, the employee will find the “Recent Punches” box.
3. The employee will find the punch that needs to be corrected.
4. The employee will click on the “pencil icon” to the right of the punch that needs to be corrected.
5. The employee will then receive a pop-up window where they can enter the information for correcting the punch. They will enter the following information:
- Date: employee will review to ensure that the date shown is for the date they want the change made.
- Punch Details: the employee will review to ensure that the type of punch is correct (e.g., out day) and enter the new time.
- Reason for Punch Change Request: the employee will state the reason for the requested change. Please ensure that the employee is as detailed as possible.
6. The employee will click the “Add Request” button.
